The Club is recognised by the Scout Association as a Fellowship and is open to all past or present Members and Associate Members of the Scout Associations and Girl Guiding UK who cruise, or have cruised, the River Thames in powered boats capable of providing overnight accommodation.

The main objectives of the Club are: “Fellowship Afloat” - to encourage and foster motor cruising on the River Thames and social interaction by adults with a past or present interest in Scouting and Guiding, along with their partners/crew; and to give occasional support to scouting events and activities.
